Prof. Nir Sharon

Professor Nir Sharon is an Associate Professor in the Applied Mathematics Department at Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on approximation on manifolds, geometric modeling, applied harmonic analysis, machine learning, and the mathematics of electron microscopy. In addition to his academic contributions, he plays an active role in advancing international research collaborations. Prior to joining Tel Aviv University Prof. Sharon was a researcher at the Program of Applied and Computational Mathematics at Princeton University.

Dr. Arik Cohen

Dr. Arik Cohen is a senior quantum and theoretical chemist with extensive hands-on experience in computer-aided drug design (CADD). He has led and built multidisciplinary scientific teams in biotech and pharma, delivering novel hits against highly competitive oncology targets. Arik brings deep expertise in molecular modeling, algorithm and pipeline development, AI/ML-driven drug discovery, and large-scale computational infrastructure. He has previously held senior leadership roles at NeoTx, InterX, and Evogene.

A quantum-optics researcher at Ariel University specializing in light–matter interactions in hot rubidium vapor and ultra-thin micro/nano cells. My group generates bright two-mode squeezed light via double-Λ four-wave mixing (demonstrated 8 dB; pushing toward 10 dB) and exploits slow-light/EIT to build quantum-enhanced gyroscopes and other sensors. My work spans custom vapor-cell design and low-loss filtering to system-level prototypes, with a strong translational focus. Training: PhD (Hebrew University, Uriel Levy) and research with Paul D. Lett (UMD/NIST).
